Acquisition of new build FCS 2008 - Offshore Waddenzee

Offshore Wind Services (OWS) makes public the acquisition of a DAMEN Twin Axe Fast Crew Supplier (FCS) 2008. The vessel will be delivered in August to her first client Van Oord, and deployed at the Dutch offshore wind farm (OWF) Eneco Luchterduinen, which is a partnership of Eneco and Mitsubishi Corporation.

Offshore Wind Services (OWS) announces the acquisition of the multipurpose / diving support vessel “Offshore Beaver”, formerly known as “Union Beaver”.
Before entering the fleet of OWS, “Offshore Beaver” had supported projects in the North Sea for Boskalis. With her 32 pax accommodation capacity, 25t crane, salvage winches and 4-point mooring system, she is capable of laying her own anchor pattern, providing oil spill response solutions, acting as mother ship for operations involving daughter crafts and providing craning services offshore. The vessel has been dry docked in 10 days, including painting, to start her first deployment as diving support vessel on a Windfarm in German Waters starting this Friday.

OWS makes public the contract signed with Damen Shipyards, Gorinchem. With the contract signed end-December 2013, the construction of the new vessel began immediately and is set to be delivered in October this year. The official ceremony took place last week.
OWS has spent considerable time refining the well-known 2610 with one of its prospective clients and the Damen team and is excited to be the first to add a this next generation of the TwinAxe2610 to its fleet. The additional changes and add-ons make this vessel a true next generation vessel.
